A business cookbook
Building a company can be lonely work. The questions never stop, and the answers rarely come easy. We all need inspiration to get the answers right.
Imagine having a cookbook of sorts, but for your business. One where you could look up a recipe for that exact question. Tips on improving client relationships, pricing your services, or gaining clarity on where to focus your efforts.
This is that guide. Simple and practical.
Forty-six chapters of straightforward advice on strategy, sales, and execution—refined to help you grow your business.
Not theory. But real tools, shaped by experience drawn from two decades of award-winning wins and hard-earned failures.
Can You Make the Logo Bigger? is everything I wish I had known sooner as a designer, building my own creative business, working with clients and executing projects.
Part I - A better understanding of business
PATH
Strategy is simple: just make the right choices to be of value. The tricky part is getting those choices right.
This section gives you the fundamentals, practical tools and insights to make those decisions and bridge the gap between business and creativity.
When you understand how strategy really works, you’ll see your clients more clearly and make stronger choices for both their business and your own.
PART II : Land the right clients
PITCH
Selling feels cringe to most of us. But in the creative industry, you’re always pitching.
Pitching your ideas, your company, your services. Pitching is how you win work and attract new clients, and that’s essential for growing a healthy business.
In this second section, you’ll learn how to align ideas and creativity with the commercial side of running a business in a way that feels natural and comfortable for creatives.
PART III : For smooth projects and collaborations
PROCESS
Turning your ideas into reality and value is everything in the creative world. Running a creative business means being on time in the broadest sense, on brand, and delivering more than expected.
Competition is fierce, and creativity and talent are only a part of the equation. The tools and insights in this section will help you to better manage your team, structure and plan your projects in a way that will significantly improve your and your team's focus.

Quick questions
Who should read 'Can you make the logo bigger?'
While the book is aimed at creatives, it is for anyone who wants a better understanding of strategy, sales, and the process that gets things done on time. It is especially relevant for those who have their own business or work in teams where aligning creative work with commercial goals is essential.
What is the book about?
The book covers the fundamentals of running a business. It is divided into three sections: Path for strategy, Pitch for sales, and Process for project management. Each of the 46 chapters is easy to read and provides insights, tools, and practical tips.
Can I get a discount?
No. Not unless you are a student and can provide a valid student ID. Sorry I don’t do discounts. A lot of time and effort has been put into realising this project. But I’m confident that reading this book will be a worthwhile investment in yourself and your business, that will by far exceed a small discount today.
Can I get a signed copy of the book?
You bet. I will be happy to, just let me know when you order the book. If it is a gift, be sure to let me know who I should sign it to.
Where else can I buy it?
Nope not yet. This book is sold exclusively by me, the author, on this website or in person. After several talks with publishers, I chose this path to maintain my creative freedom and retain all rights to the book as my intellectual property. I like to think of it as sort of an indy game studio or independent record label.
